Cypress College Theater

In the outback of Cypress, CA (A small town in North Orange County... not too far from Disneyland) lies a small yet not overly small community college.  The colleg itself boasts a wonderful class selection including sports, computer design and acting.

The school puts on at least three productions a semester: a play, a musical and a dance concert.  Other events include orchestral and vocal concerts, acting and singing recitals, art displays and more.  Indeed, the school is quite the hotbed of activity, even hosting a swap meet open to the community on weekends.

During my time at the school, I engaged in a few musical productions.  As they are not gifted with a full compliment of what we in the theater call Techies (Backstage technical crew), specific jobs are arranged with each and every performer in the main three performances: Play, Musical and Dance Concert.  I've signed up for various duties but, despite my fear of heights, by far perfer the freedom and connectivity as a Spotlight Operator.
